Betterdays is an online store that sells mental health awareness products. To make people more aware of mental health and how much it can impact someone's life.
My goal is to show more positivity with my brand. To let people feel safe in the products they are wearing. To show that it is ok to not be ok.
The owner.
Hi I am Imke. I am a teenager who struggled with mental health for my whole life. I had a eating disorder and depression from a very young age. I never felt seen, heard or cared for by people. My family and friends always helped me, but I was so lost I couldn't see that. I felt helpless and needed to have a change. I struggled with feeling loved and seen and needed to understand what love is. In this period of my life I felt like I needed to make a change. I started making video's for comfort and to help others. And that helped me to recover. After I recovered from my eating disorder I got into some traumatic experiences that changed my life. FND took over my life. Seizures, sleeping and pain was for 6 months my whole life.
School, work and life was not a choice. Surviving and not living. Because of all the therapy and experiences I had I learned allot about self improvement on a young age. But still allot of people (and allot of teenagers) struggle with mental health, but no one takes it serious.
I felt like there needed to be a change. That's why I started this brand to let people be more aware of mental health. And hopefully will become a safe space.
My life is a rollercoasted. But I am enjoying the ride. "Flowers will bloom after the rain, so will you."
